Account Executive

From his base in PRG’s Las Vegas operations, Michael Long oversees the company’s grip services, providing clients with mobile lighting support for all types of television & film productions.

Michael began his entertainment industry career in 1979 when he joined Las Vegas-based Cinema Services, a lighting rental company focused on the television & film industry. Over the next two decades, Michael supported all types of television & film projects, including feature films, music videos, televised sporting events, talk shows, game shows, documentaries, news broadcasts, cooking shows, award shows, promotional reels, and advertisements, including some of the best known car advertisements filmed in the desert southwest.

When PRG acquired Cinema Services in 1996, Michael was given overall responsibility for the company’s grip lighting operations. He continues to provide grip services out of Las Vegas with 5-ton and 10-ton trucks.

During his career, Michael has supported projects throughout the US. A large number of his projects, however, have occurred in some of the most spectacular locations in the American southwest. In the process, Michael has become an expert on filming in those locations, including the Grand Canyon, Zion Canyon, Bryce Canyon, Sedona, Red Rocks, Valley of Fire, Lake Powell, Lake Mead, Mt. Charleston, the Four Corners/Monument Valley area, Sierra Nevadas, Rocky Mountains, Flagstaff, Hoover Dam, Biloxi, the Las Vegas Strip, local ghost towns, and Death Valley. Michael enjoys assisting his clients in selecting the best possible locations for their shoots.

Michael studied theatre at the University of Nevada – Las Vegas.

When not on the job, Michael enjoys motor boating, snowboarding, wakeboarding and spending time with his family.
