PRG’s creative solutions expand the limits of what’s possible — show after show.

The Challenge: Catch the eyes of a crowd that’s seen it all.

The Solution:
Standing out from the crowd is not easy at the Canadian International Auto Show — Canada’s largest consumer event. To draw maximum attention to Ford Motor Company’s displays of new models and updated classics, exhibit house Kubik, Inc., called on PRG for a full package of lighting, audio and video services for Ford’s trade show booth and press event.

“We wanted an ambience of glamour, while making each vehicle a star of the show, and PRG was right there with solutions,” says Patrick Dahan, Kubik, Inc.’s vice president of sales. To achieve depth and dazzle in the 40,000-square-foot booth, PRG used 120 proprietary automated AutoPar™ wash luminaires along with 40 Vari*Lite® fixtures. It was AutoPar’s first appearance at the show. “The fixtures gave us exactly the sophisticated effect we wanted — everything really stood out,” says Dahan.

PRG also provided two Virtuoso® DX2 control consoles to program the lights and sync with video elements. By wirelessly connecting a laptop to the control console, the team was able to focus any light in the system, saving substantial time and labor costs. “The ability to remotely focus the AutoPar fixtures was a great selling feature for our client — especially because it made it a lot easier to place and move vehicles within the booth until each one was perfectly placed,” says Dahan.

As a one-source solution, PRG was an active and responsive partner, adds Dahan. “They are a pleasure to deal with. Whatever we asked for, they said, ‘It will be done.’ And they did it.”
