PRG keeps getting better so our customers always look their best.

Challenge:
Get cutting-edge technology up and running in record time.

Solution:
Even in the trendy environment of New York Fashion Week, the scene at Diesel’s runway show was a step beyond. Diesel envisioned the classical main hall of Cipriani 42nd Street as an updated set for a sci-fi thriller, in the style of Blade Runner. Lighting designer Shawn Kaufman of Bernhard Link Theatrical, LLC, brought the transformation about by framing the runway with converging scenic walls lit with 180 Versa™ Tubes — a technology new to most East Coast venues — and creating high-style video content.

PRG provided the VersaTubes along with other lighting equipment and controls used on the show. Drawing on PRG’s national inventory, account executives Chris Daly and Keith Romaine ordered the tubes from the company’s Los Angeles depot. They also provided PRG’s proprietary Mbox™ Extreme, which let Kaufman send video to the tubes through the lighting control desk, instead of writing cues for each tube individually. “Most of us had never used the VersaTubes, and working the Mbox in this way was new, too,” recalls Kaufman. “PRG worked closely with us so we could install everything in a tight 24-hour time frame, put it together properly and use it without any problem.”

“Our company is known for using technology in new ways. A lot of times, it’s something we haven’t even used before, and our clients count on us to get it up and running perfectly in record time,” adds Kaufman. “Our relationship with PRG allows us to meet our client’s expectations and our own high standards.”
