With locations in major cities around the world, PRG is ideally positioned to provide one-stop service to today’s global customers.

Challenge:
Stage a top international fashion event half a world away.

Solution:
To launch the new Armani Exchange flagship store in Tokyo, New York-based Tim Hunter Design called on PRG for high-end staging, lighting and video solutions. Working from its offices in both cities, PRG supplied the equipment for the A-list event — plus the local knowledge and connections that made doing business in Tokyo as convenient as working on Broadway.

From PRG’s New York location, account executive Paul Morrill worked with the designer to determine the scope and details of the project, then communicated the vision to Tsuyoshi Namiki, his counterpart at PRG Asia. “The client would just tell me what was wanted, knowing that I would get the information to our people in Tokyo in terms that everyone would understand,? explains Morrill.

“And the fact that we have a great team in Tokyo who speak the language and know the territory gave the client confidence that things would be done properly over there,? added Morrill, who flew to Tokyo to help PRG Asia coordinate the final details.

In all, PRG supplied the lighting system for the Armani Exchange event, as well as a stage with a conveyor belt that carried models around a runway. PRG also provided three video walls, projectors and a VJ to mix the video content created by Tim Hunter Design.

“There were a lot of moving parts that all came together to create a very sophisticated environment,? said Morrill. “Thanks to PRG’s resources on both sides of the Pacific, we made it look easy.?
