Essential Lighting joins Production Resource Group

New Windsor, NY — Production Resource Group, LLC, (PRG) announced today that it is strengthening its specialist brand strategy in the UK by acquiring Essential Lighting Group from the Staging Connections Group. The transaction is expected to close by the end of October.

Essential Lighting will continue as an independent brand, focused on the markets that it serves. EL is a leader in the live event business, with projects as diverse as the BBC Proms in the Park, product launches for Ford, Toyota, and BMW, London Fashion Week, and political conferences.

Essential Lighting will report to PRG headquarters in the U.S. The existing PRG lighting business in the UK will remain a separate specialist brand, focusing on the markets and customers it has traditionally served.
