John Petrafesa, Jr.

Account Executive, Audio

Based in PRG’s Mount Vernon office, John Petrafesa develops all types of entertainment technology solutions.

Like many of PRG’s employees, John grew up in the entertainment industry. His father, John Petrafesa Sr., is a former vice president of labor relations for Disney Theatrical and assistant to the international president of IATSE.

John began his career at the age of 16 as a stagehand at the Shubert Theatre in New Haven, CT. After taking a special interest in audio systems, he spent the next 10 years serving as a freelance audio engineer for such productions as Beauty and the Beast, Les Miserables, Guys & Dolls, and The Music Man.

John joined PRG in 2002 as an account executive and spent a year developing audio, lighting, and scenic solutions for PRG’s clients. In 2003, he departed PRG to gain experience managing the operations of a smaller audio supplier. In 2004, he rejoined PRG to help launch PRG’s video division and deliver complete entertainment technology solutions to PRG’s clients in the northeast.

John’s many clients include the New Haven Symphony Orchestra and the Connecticut Association of the Performing Arts.

John is a member of IATSE Locals 1 and 74.

When not on the job, he enjoys golfing and spending time with his family.
