HR Administrator / Project Coordinator

Main purpose of the job:

The primary role will be to provide comprehensive HR administrative support to Managers and staff with in the company.
The role also provides administrative assistance primarily to the the Heads of Department and Production Management team when required.   

Summary of principal duties and responsibilities include:

  • Perform a support function in the recruitment of HR personnel, distributing CV’s to Managers and arranging interviews etc.
  • Maintain a presence as the day to day HR function for staff and managers.
  • Liaise with staff regarding Annual leave requests, record the requests and ensure sign-off by the relevant Managers.
  • Assist with crewing, booking additional crew and obtaining visas as and when required.
  • Update the Company crew booking system daily to ensure the records are correct. Mange the daily crew movement reports when necessary.
  • Provide day to day administrative support to the Project Management Team.
  • Assist the Heads of Department in an administrative support role when required.
  • Provide cover for reception when required.
  • Occasional reception duties such as typing and distribution of Purchase Orders.
  • Provide day to day administrative support to the Accounts Department where necessary.
  • Assist the with booking support crew and compiling details for accreditation.

Skills and Attributes required:

  • Previous administration experience within an office environment, ideally with experience in the events industry..
  • Strong communication – fluent in English, both verbal and written, with excellent interpersonal skills.

Head of Service & Cable Departments

Main purpose of the job:

Takes responsibility for the management of the Service & Cable Departments ensuring the service and repair of Company equipment is carried out to the highest quality standards, whilst maintaining full and accurate records of all work completed.   

Summary of principal duties and responsibilities include:

  • Supervise the teams in the servicing and repairing of equipment & cables in line with the Company’s standards and procedures.
  • Assess workloads and staffing levels within the department to ensure deadlines are met. 
  • Ensure the appropriate levels of spare parts and components are maintained at all times.
  • Maintain service, technical and operational documentation relating to the Company’s inventory and test equipment.
  • Minimise equipment in repair to ensure stock is available as soon as possible.
  • Work closely as a team with other Heads of Departments to discuss and resolve collective issues.

Skills and Attributes required:

  • In-depth technical background ideally within the industry, with experience of electro-mechanical equipment.
  • Hold a relevant electronics qualification.
  • Competent in identifying and resolving faults to a component level.
  • Able to read and interpret schematics.
  • Experience in managing and motivating a team to achieve results.
  • Solid decision making and planning skills with the ability to adjust priorities, decisions and actions to respond to multiple demands and new information
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage resources during very busy periods, implementing contingencies to meet changing business needs.
  • Able to communicate confidently and clearly; written and spoken.
  • A good understanding of stock control systems and competent in the use of AutoCAD, Word, Excel and other basic Microsoft products.

Cable Technician

Main purpose of the job:

To work as part of a team and be responsible for inspecting, repairing and testing all electrical to the highest quality standards, whilst maintaining full and accurate records of all work completed.   

Summary of principal duties and responsibilities include:

  • Discuss and liaise with colleagues regarding the workload in line with incoming repair orders to ensure that deadlines are met as directed by the Head of Department.
  • Proficient in making and terminationg various cable eg. TRS, DMX, Socapex, Cat5 / Cat6 etc.
  • Maintain the highest level of operational and technical expertise regarding audio viual cables. 
  • Ensure that complete and accurate records are maintained of all items in service following service checklists and ensuring to add any information which may be useful in the future.
  • Establish routine safety checks of all cables ensuring all cables are fit for use and annual PAT testing is up to date.
  • Maintain the cable department assisting with de-prep and prep of cable where necessary.
  • Assist department technicians with service requests and technical support.
  • Ensure workshop tools, equipment and parts storage are well maintained and the Head of Department is kept informed of stock shortages of parts required..
  • Undertake repair activities at other locations if required in planned or emergency situations.
     

Skills and Attributes required:

  • Minimum 3yrs experience with an Electronics background preferably at degree level with advanced soldering abilities.
  • Previous experience working in the AV industry is desirable.
  • Excellent knowledge of electrical safety at work and safe working practices.
  • Demonstratable knowledge of power distribution and electrical safety at work.
  • A good understanding of repairing all types of cable within a warehouse environment.
  • Excellent diagnostic and fault finding skills
  • The role requires skill in using unleaded solder. 
  • Able to fault-find and repair PCBs to component level without the use of automated test equipment.
  • Ability to work in a team or on your own initiative within strict time constraints. 
  • Ability to follow and undertake safe lifting practices as instructed.

 

Technical Project Manager

Location: Dubai, United Arab Emirates

The Technical Project Manager is responsible for a wide range of deliverables including corporate functions, awards nights, concerts and gala dinners. You will need to be creative and resourceful to be successful within this role. 

Looking after clients from both the local and global market along with agencies and venues, the Technical Project Manager is accountable for full technical production of their events.

The successful candidate must have a good understanding of both AV service delivery, margin performance and a sound technical knowledge.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

  • Field enquiries and ensure an accurate brief is obtained to develop an understanding of the client’s project requirements
  • Provide clients with all areas of project management and advice, to include technical and equipment specifications, identifying any exceptional requirements, crew schedules, transport requirements, etc
  • Budget and manage sub-hired equipment, freelancers and other brought-in items against the project budget as established in the agreed contract.
  • Production, co-ordination and design for a range of products. This will include:
    Preparing electrical calculations and configurations.
    Preparing equipment specifications from drawings or briefs.
    Calculating cable specifications, allocating spares, and specifying sales items for the project.
    Working out weight loadings, system schematics and working with the Graphics Department to create the relevant drawings.
    Obtaining quotations and raising LPO’s for sub hires of any job related equipment.
  • Technical management of all elements of projects undertaken - including lighting, rigging, video, audio and scenic elements.

Qualities and Attributes required:

  • Proven track record within the live events industry, specifically in lighting, video, rigging and audio areas. (min 5+ yrs as Project Manager)
  • Previous experience in set design and build.
  • Excellent computer skills including all Microsoft Office applications with experience creating drawings using CAD / Vectorworks programs.
  • A current health and safety qualification IOSH or equivalent is desirable
  • Experience using equipment rental software is desirable.

Senior Lighting Engineer

Location: Dubai

 

We currently have a vacancy for a Senior Lighting Engineer. You must be experienced in working on mid to large-scale events and hold a flair for design.

 

Key responsibilities and duties will include:

 

  • Working from and interpreting a lighting plan, including preparation of equipment specifications, electrical calculations and configurations from drawings.
  • Coordinating equipment show prep stage of a project at the Company's warehouse facilities.
  • Rigging, focusing and operating necessary lighting equipment on shows of all sizes.
  • Working with automated fixtures and dimmers.
  • Programming and operating various lighting consoles.
  • Leading a team of technicians and crew onsite when necessary.

Rigger

Location: Dubai

We currently have a vacancy for a Rigger. The department is responsible for installing and dismantling various truss structures within a number of different environments for both concerts, corporate and public events.
You must be experienced in working on mid to large-scale events and be competent at delivering to a high standard in a wide variety of indoor and outdoor venues across the UAE and Gulf States. 
You will be responsible for all rigging elements of the show and carry this out in a professional and competent manner.

 

Key Responsibilities and duties will include:

 

  • Working from and interpreting rigging plots and briefs, to offer guidance and advice to Production staff and Clients to ensure the highest possible production & safety standards are met.
  • Confidence in leading a team onsite when necessary to ensure a high standard of delivery. 
  • Ability to liaise with the client and colleagues in a professional and diplomatic nature.
  • Maintaining all aspects of the Rigging workshop, ensuring all rigging equipment, tools and machinery are in a good, safe and efficient working condition.
  • Supervise / Manage a team onsite when necessary.

Skills and attributes required:

 

  • 3yrs+ experience in a similar role, with experience in both the corporate and concert market essential.

Event Communications Engineer

We currently have an opening for an Audio Communications Engineer to join our team in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. 

Delivering a wide range of Communications projects including corporate functions, concerts and large scale events you will need to be creative and resourceful to be successful within this role, ensuring the smooth delivery of projects for clients across the Middle East.

 

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

 

  • Set up and operation of communications equipment for events of all sizes.
  • Operate Matrix systems and assist with event operation.
  • Coordination of configuring Communications systems on-site.
  • Liaising with overarching PRG Project Manager.
  • Maintaining the Audio Comms equipment in a good, safe and efficient working condition.

  •  Flexible approach to project changes on site - escalating changes and variations to the Project Manager

Information Management, Quoting, Reporting and Company Support     

Duties include:

  • Identify potential projects and sales opportunities.
  • Develop relationships with new clients, from own initiative and in participation with colleagues.
  • Maintain and continue to develop a database of contacts for repeat and future business.
  • Growing sales within variours market sectors.
  • Generating new business leads through telesales, networking and face to face meetings.
  • Monitoring sales activity and providing monthly reports to senior management team.
  • Account management of existing clients..
  • Central point of contact for the client.
  • Coordinate and negotiate pricing and specifications for a range of projects.

The ideal candidate will display passion for the events industry and have 3+ years relevant events experience, i.e. in a similar environment or agency. Ideally they will be educated to degree level and able to demonstrate suitable transferable skills from previous employment roles.
