Built for the road: Why protecting our equipment matters

When we talk about investing in our equipment inventory, the focus naturally falls on what ends up on stage. New lighting fixtures, LED technology and control systems might be the most visible investments, but keeping that technology protected and ready for the demands of live production requires investment behind the scenes too.

Flight cases are an important part of that picture.

Equipment supplied for live productions can spend much of its working life on the move, travelling between warehouses, venues, festivals and tour dates. Every journey brings another load in, load out and period in transit, making the way equipment is transported an important part of protecting its performance and longevity.

That is why PRG continues to invest not only in the technology itself, but in the infrastructure that supports it.

Our latest custom flight cases have been designed specifically for our Ayrton EagleStrike inventory, protecting the fixtures throughout transport while supporting the practical demands of handling equipment repeatedly on the road.

For our teams, that protection forms part of a much wider process. Equipment returning to our warehouse is maintained, prepared and tested before its next deployment, with the right transport solutions helping preserve that work between the warehouse and the production site.

Ultimately, investment in flight cases is investment in reliability.

Our partners need confidence that when equipment arrives on site, it has been properly protected throughout its journey and is prepared for the job ahead. From the technology on stage to the cases carrying it between shows, every part of the process contributes to delivering that consistency.

Not every investment ends up on stage. Some of the most important ones make sure the equipment that does is ready when it gets there.
