"THE DOME" is back - PRG joins as a partner

Loyal fans of the music show "THE DOME" had to hold out for six years for the last edition. But on November 30, the time had come, and as in previous years, PRG was once again on board, supplying all the necessary trades with lighting, sound, stage, video and rigging.
The pop spectacle celebrated its comeback exactly where the first "THE DOME" had taken place in 1997: in the König-Pilsener-Arena in Oberhausen. 28 acts performed in front of 8,000 spectators and hundreds of thousands of TV viewers.

The show was made possible by the work of 800 employees. Christian Legler (producer Soullution GmbH) pointed out, "In this, we have a contact person in PRG who takes care of the entire production, so we become a little bit more relaxed because we don't have to worry about every single trade."
A special challenge resulted from the stage design, which was realized by Jens Meinecke (Wohlthat Entertainment) and his team: different trades had to install the equipment overlapping under the ceiling, as Stefan Pattke (PRG on-site manager) explains: "The truss circles made it difficult for us to get the LED walls up." Through close cooperation, however, this endeavor was crowned with success.
In terms of lighting technology, GLP's GT-1 was among the lights used, as was the KNV, a new type of lamp that functions as a blinder as well as a strobe and pixel block. Christian Legler was satisfied with the cooperation: "We have already been able to do some big productions together with PRG and we have a partner at our side with whom we are very happy at the moment."
