Stage Command System®
PRG set a new standard for stage automation in1988 when it introduced the patented Stage Command System® motion control system on Phantom of the Opera. This system gives designers and operators the ability to execute even the most complex motion control cues with accuracy, repeatability and unparalleled attention to safety.
Designed for live events, it controls stage machinery (hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical) as well as performer flying. It also integrates with other elements such as lighting and media servers, providing positioning feedback for accurate tracking and movement of lighting fixtures and video content for moving screens.
Seamless. Our cue-based SCS software allows seamless transitions in full view of the audience, creating a world of possibilities for designers
Efficient. Integrated 3D visualization for real-time viewing or pre-programming of movement.
Scalable. Multiple control options designed to suit the production’s size, from the full-sized Commander to the Mini Commander.
Versatile. Drive Racks house either four 3kW drives or two 7kW drives, used for a wide range of motion effects such as AC and DC winches, scenic deck dogs, turtle rotators, motors, chain hoists, and traveler track systems.
Safe. The system includes a PLC (Programmable Logic Controller), an industrial computer, to provide a Go/No Go safety check. If a pre-programmed parameter isn't met, the PLC will prevent cue execution.
