Bad Boy® HP

PRG’s Bad Boy® HP Spot and Bad Boy® Beam FX are elegantly engineered, hybrid luminaires that combine the qualities of traditional automated lights in a large venue fixture.

- Produces a powerful 50,000 lumens
- Zoom range of 8:1 from a narrow spot of 7° to a wide flood of 56°
- CMY color mixing, plus designer color wheel
- Two indexing, rotating gobo wheels, 7 gobos per wheel
- Maintains edge control of the gobos through the full zoom range with no reduction in brightness
- Beam FX users can go from hard-edge to soft edge mid-aerial effects with a combination of new gobos in the rotating gobo wheels
- Beam FX can be layered with other features including variable diffusion wheel, greyscale dimmer and beam-sized iris

PRG collaborated with CS Global Group and BLIVE on lighting and camera for Tom Ford’s NY Spring/Summer 2023 Fashion Week show.

  • The lighting team lit models on the runway using eight PRG Bad Boy GroundControl® Followspots from the front and six PRG Best Boy GroundControl® Followspots from the back
  • PRG supplied a complete camera package to BLIVE, including ARRI AMIRA and ARRI ALEXA Mini
  • PRG’s 35LIVE!® was used to capture the show and produce a more cinematic look and feel

The Edge offers panoramic views of Manhattan from 1,100 feet in the air becoming the highest outdoor observation deck in the Western Hemisphere.

  • Supplied 28 Icon® Edge fixtures to produce aerial beam effects.
  • 32 Best Boy® fixtures installed on terrace below to illuminate deck.
  • Limited building power required a custom engineered solution to extend power where needed.
